Terms of Use
By using RuleShelf, you agree to the following terms.
The content on this site
Rules explanations, dispute pages, score sheets, and all original writing on this site are the property of RuleShelf. You're welcome to read, print a score sheet for your own personal use, and link to any page on this site. You may not republish, rehost, or bulk-copy this site's written content elsewhere without permission. This restriction covers the specific wording used to explain a game's rules, not the underlying rules themselves — those are facts, and facts belong to nobody.
Trademarked game names
Some pages on this site describe widely known commercial games by name, for the purpose of identifying and fairly summarizing how they are played. This is nominative use, not a claim of affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by any trademark holder. See the trademark disclaimer for the full notice.
Accuracy
Rules content is checked against multiple sources per the methodology page, but RuleShelf makes no guarantee that every page reflects every edition, region-specific variant, or tournament ruling for every game. Where a genuine dispute exists between sources, pages aim to say so rather than assert false certainty. If your table's copy of a game states something different, that's often a legitimate regional or edition difference, not necessarily an error here — but let us know if you believe a page is wrong.
Purchases and donations
The Score Sheet Mega-Pack is a one-time digital purchase, processed by a third-party payment provider. Donations through Support Us are voluntary and non-refundable, and do not unlock any content that isn't otherwise free on the site. Access to a purchased download does not expire and does not require an account to retain.
Tools
The scorekeepers and other client-side tools on this site are provided as-is, for convenience. They compute based on the numbers you enter and do not verify that any specific game's rules were applied correctly. Because these tools run and store their state entirely in your own browser, we have no visibility into and no ability to recover a score you did not save or that your browser cleared.
Governing terms
These terms, together with the privacy policy and the trademark disclaimer, form the complete agreement covering use of this site. If any individual term is found unenforceable by a court, the remaining terms continue to apply in full, and the unenforceable term is replaced with one that most closely reflects its original intent.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated periodically; continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
