Printable Muggins (All Fives) Score Sheet
Muggins, also called All Fives, scores completely differently from a plain pip-counting domino game: instead of adding up leftover tiles at the end, players score points during play, the instant the open ends of the layout sum to a multiple of five. A sheet for this game needs to capture those in-play scoring moments as they happen, not just a single end-of-round total.
Scoring during play: multiples of five
After a tile is placed, the exposed ends of the layout (there can be two, three, or four depending on how many arms have branched off any doubles played) are totaled. Any total that's a multiple of five — 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, or 35 — scores that exact number of points immediately for the player who placed the tile. Because this can happen on almost any turn, the sheet's per-turn column needs to support a zero far more often than a score, with an occasional real number landing when the ends line up right.
The muggins rule, and why it's the game's namesake
A player who plays a scoring tile must announce the count out loud — if they don't, and an opponent catches the miss and calls "Muggins!", the missed points are forfeited (and under many house rules, awarded to the opponent who caught it instead). This is worth a specific tracking box on the sheet distinct from ordinary scores, both because forfeited-then-reawarded points need to move from one player's column to another's, and because a table that plays with this rule strictly will see it come up regularly.
End-of-hand scoring adds a second layer
When a player goes out (or the round blocks), the winner also scores bonus points from whatever's left in every opponent's hand — each opponent's pip total is rounded to the nearest multiple of five (so 27 pips rounds to 25, 28 rounds to 30) before being added to the winner's total. This end-of-round bonus is a completely separate scoring event from the in-play multiples-of-five scoring above, and the sheet should keep them as two distinct entries per round rather than blending them into one number.
Reading a round's total
A clean round adds: every in-play scoring event (each one already a multiple of five, tallied as they happened), any muggins-forfeited points that were caught and reassigned, and the end-of-round bonus from opponents' rounded pip totals. Because the in-play scoring can produce several small entries across a single round, it's worth a running subtotal column that updates live, checked against the final total once the round actually ends.
Doubles and the branching layout
A double played to any open end is placed crosswise and opens up an additional arm of the layout, which means a board with several doubles played can have more than the usual two open ends to total for scoring. This is exactly why the in-play scoring column needs to accommodate a variable number of open ends rather than assuming there are always just two — a heavily branched board with three or four open ends changes what totals are even reachable on a given turn.

Can a player score points on a turn where they don't place a tile at all (drawing instead)? No — scoring only happens when a tile is actually placed and the resulting open-end total is a multiple of five; a turn spent drawing because no legal play was available scores nothing, win or lose.
Does the end-of-round bonus apply even if the round ends in a block rather than someone going out? Yes — in a blocked round, whoever holds the lowest pip total is typically treated as the round's winner for bonus purposes, scoring the rounded pip totals of every other player's remaining hand, the same as they would if they'd played their last tile outright.
The Dominoes category hub rounds up every domino game covered on this site, including Dominoes Basics and Mexican Train. Because in-play scoring produces several small entries per round, the Universal Scorekeeper is worth using instead of paper if a table would rather not add live subtotals by hand.
