Printable Bunco Score Sheet
Bunco is unusual among dice games because a single sheet has to survive players physically getting up and swapping tables mid-session. A group typically plays six rounds, one round per number on the dice, and after each round the winning players move to a different table while everyone else stays or moves down — which means a Bunco sheet is really two documents in one: a per-round scorepad at each table, and a table-log that follows a player across the whole night.
The six rounds, and what each one is actually counting
In round 1, only 1s count; in round 2, only 2s; and so on through round 6. Rolling three dice and getting any number of matches to that round's target scores 1 point per matching die, and a player who scores keeps rolling. This means the per-round score column needs to accept a running point total within the round, not just a single mark, since a hot roller can rack up several points before passing the dice.
Bunco and mini-Bunco, tracked as their own thing
Rolling all three dice matching the round's number is a "Bunco" — worth 21 points outright, and at most tables it ends the round immediately, with the scoring table ringing a bell to signal everyone else to stop. Three of a kind that does NOT match the round's number is a "mini-Bunco" (sometimes called a "baby Bunco"), worth a flat 5 points instead of triggering the round-ending bell. Because tables use Buncos as a tiebreaker at the end of the night on top of counting them toward the point total, the sheet needs a separate tally mark for each Bunco a player rolls, not just an inflated point total that hides how many actually happened.
The table-log: what carries between rounds
Because winning players move up a table and losing players move down (with the head table staying put), a full night's sheet needs one row per player tracking which table they were at each round and whether they won or lost it, alongside their cumulative point total. This is the part a single per-round scorepad can't capture on its own — it's the record that answers "who played at every table tonight" at the end of the evening, not just "who scored the most points."
Reading a finished night off the sheet
At the end of six rounds, the winner is normally whoever has the highest point total, with total Buncos rolled as the first tiebreaker and most wins as a second. A clean sheet keeps three numbers visible per player without needing to recount anything: total points, total full Buncos, and rounds won — because all three can matter depending on how close the night finishes.
Common scoring mix-ups
The most common mistake is scoring a mini-Bunco as if it were a regular round point (1 point per match) rather than the flat 5-point bonus it actually is. The second is forgetting that a real Bunco ends the round on the spot — a table that keeps rolling past a Bunco and racking up more points for that round is playing past the round's actual end. Because rounds move fast and the room is loud, writing the round-ending Bunco in a distinct box or color, separate from ordinary point marks, saves an argument at the bell.
Table count, dice, and how the rotation works for different group sizes are covered on the full Bunco rules page. Worked point totals across a full six-round night sit separately on the scoring deep-dive.
Does a player who rolls a Bunco but is already leading the round need to keep rolling? No — a Bunco (three dice matching the round number) ends that player's turn and the round itself immediately, regardless of what anyone had already scored that round; the 21 points are added and play moves to the next round.
How should the sheet handle a round with no Bunco at all? Simply total the round's points per player as normal and move to the table rotation — most rounds end this way, on time or turns running out rather than a Bunco, so the sheet's per-round column needs to work identically whether or not a Bunco ever lands.
Bunco sits on the Dice Games category hub alongside every other dice game this site covers, and the Universal Scorekeeper can hold a table's running point totals across the rotation if the paper sheet gets left at the wrong table.
